Public Advisory: Fish and Wildlife Enforcement Officers Seek Public Assistance

On Monday, November 3, Fish and Wildlife Enforcement Officers from the Corner Brook detachment responded to a report that two dead moose had been found south of Corner Brook, near Beaver Pond in the area of Logger’s School Road.

Upon arriving at the scene, officers noted that two moose appeared to have been illegally shot and left to rot in close proximity to each other. The incident is believed to have taken place between Thursday, October 30 and Friday, October 31. An investigation into the incident is underway and officers are asking anyone who has information or who may have seen suspicious behaviour in that area to please come forward.
