Media Advisory:Minister to Attend Peace Officers’ Memorial Service
The Honourable Terry French, Minister of Justice, will attend the International Peace Officers’ Memorial Day Service being held tomorrow (Wednesday, May 14). The service begins at 11:00 a.m. at the St. John’s Seventh Day Adventist Church, 30 Aldershot Street.
The International Peace Officers’ Memorial Service is held annually during National Police Week and provides an opportunity to pay respects to the 19 peace officers who have been killed in the line of duty since 1861 in Newfoundland and Labrador.
