Media Advisory: Minister to Speak at Memorial University Charity Gala

The Honourable Steve Kent, Deputy Premier, Minister of Health and Community Services and Minister Responsible for the Office of Public Engagement, will speak at the 38th annual Memorial University Faculty of Medicine Monte Carlo Charity Gala tomorrow (Saturday, November 1).

The event will take place at 7:00 p.m. at the Delta St. John's Hotel and Conference Centre, 120 New Gower Street, St. John's. Minister Kent will speak at approximately 8:45 p.m.

Since 1977, Monte Carlo Gala has evolved into a major charity fundraiser that involves the community at large and raises funds for deserving organizations throughout Newfoundland and Labrador. This year’s event will support Big Brothers Big Sisters, Kids Eat Smart Foundation Newfoundland and Labrador, Jack Hand Legacy Foundation, St. John’s Women’s Centre, Ability Employment Corporation and Team Broken Earth.
