Investment in Overseas Market Exploration
Promotes Long-term Prosperity

Barry Group Incorporated Explores International Markets with $22,980 from the Provincial Government

Barry Group Incorporated will receive $22,980 through the Fisheries Technology and New Opportunities Program to assist exploration of overseas markets for pelagic and shellfish.

“The Provincial Government has made it a priority to foster the success of provincial seafood producers in international markets, as seen in our investments to support various marketing initiatives, and our achievements through CETA negotiations. This investment of almost $23,000 continues our efforts to help the industry gain market share worldwide.”
- Honourable Keith Hutchings, Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture

The funding will be used to help Barry Group Incorporated connect with potential clients in Russia, Europe, and Asia, and to strengthen existing relationships in developing markets.

“In order to remain globally competitive, it is extremely important for Barry Group to continually build our international customer base. I appreciate the Provincial Government’s support for international trade initiatives, and I look forward to building the reputation of Newfoundland and Labrador’s fine seafood around the world.”
- Bill Barry, CEO, Barry Group Incorporated
