Media Advisory: Minister to Participate in Candlelight Vigil in Memory of the Montreal Massacre
The Honourable Keith Russell, Minister of Labrador and Aboriginal Affairs, will participate in a candlelight vigil memorial to remember the victims of the Montreal Massacre shootings on December 6, 1989, at Montreal’s École Polytechnique. The event, hosted by the Mokami Status of Women Council, begins at 6:00 p.m. today (Friday, December 5) at The Women’s Centre, 43 Grenfell Street in Happy Valley-Goose Bay.
The Mokami Status of Women Council, formed in 1979, is an organization that strives to offer assistance to women on a variety of issues in central Labrador.
