Media Advisory: Premier Designate to Represent Premier Marshall at Weekend Events

Paul Davis, Premier Designate of Newfoundland and Labrador, on behalf of the Honourable Tom Marshall, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, will take part in a number of events tomorrow (Saturday, September 20) and Sunday, September 21.

On Saturday, September 20, the Premier Designate will address members of the Pharmacists’ Association of Newfoundland and Labrador and present the Pharmacist of the Year Award. The event will begin at 7:00 p.m. with the Premier Designate speaking at 8:00 p.m. at the Sheraton Hotel, 115 Cavendish Square, St John’s.

On Sunday, September 21, at 11:00 a.m. the Premier Designate will attend the Battle of Britain 74th Service of Remembrance and Thanksgiving at the Anglican Cathedral, St. John’s. After the service, he will also participate in a wreath laying ceremony at the National War Memorial at 12:25 p.m.

Also on Sunday, September 21, the Premier Designate will address the firefighter banquet and closing ceremonies of the 50th Anniversary of the Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Fire Services Annual Convention and Trade Show. The convention takes place September 19-22. The banquet and closing ceremonies begin at 7:00 p.m. at the Hotel Gander with the Premier Designate speaking at 8:00 p.m.
