Premier Announces Senior Appointment
Premier Marshall today announced the appointment of Milly Brown to the position of Associate Secretary to Cabinet, Communications. The role provides support to Executive Council and coordinates government-wide communications.

Milly Brown has spent close to four years in communications in the premier’s office taking on progressively more responsible roles, most recently, director of communications.

The appointment is effective Monday, September 15.

BACKGROUNDER
Biography
Milly Brown holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in French and English and a Bachelor of Education degree from Memorial University of Newfoundland. A bilingual communications professional, she studied public relations from the University of Victoria. Prior to coming to government, Ms. Brown spent eight years as a communications consultant and several years as an educator, at the secondary and post-secondary levels. Her communications experience and training also includes the two-year training process to qualify as a Certified Carnegie Communications coach and eight years served in that role.
