Premier Announces Minister Responsible for Francophone Affairs
The Honourable Tom Marshall, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, today announced the appointment of the Honourable Tony Cornect as Minister Responsible for Francophone Affairs. This is in addition to his recent appointment as Minister of Tourism, Culture and Recreation.
“As the first Newfoundland and Labrador-born Francophone appointed to Cabinet, Minister Cornect will bring a depth of knowledge and experience to this portfolio as a passionate advocate for the province’s Francophone culture, heritage and issues.”

Responsibility for Francophone Affairs was most recently held by the Honourable Susan Sullivan, Minister of Innovation, Business and Rural Development.
