“The Provincial Government is committed to working with community groups to enhance the capacity of the community sector while promoting and celebrating volunteers and the value of volunteerism. I encourage all non-profit organizations to apply for Volunteer Week grants, which are designed to support recognition of effort, time and commitment of volunteers.”
- The Honourable Steve Kent, Minister Responsible for the Office of Public Engagement

Twenty-five grants valued at $100 are available. Eligible applicants should be incorporated non-profit organizations and/or registered charities that are in good standing. These grants are designed to support organizations in hosting volunteer recognition events during Volunteer Week.

April 6-12 marks Volunteer Week in Newfoundland and Labrador. The theme of this year’s Volunteer Week is …for the health of it!, which will recognize the important health benefits of volunteering and highlight the critical role that volunteers play in making our communities and province healthier places to live.
