The Honourable Terry French, Minister of Environment and Conservation, has announced the following events relative to Part 10 Environmental Assessment of the Environmental Protection Act.

ENVIRONMENTAL PREVIEW REPORT REQUIRED:

Colinet-Rocky River Zip Line and Adventure Park                 (Reg. 1752)
Proponent: Trevor Linehan

The Minister of Environment and Conservation has advised the proponent that an Environmental Preview Report (EPR) is required for this project. The EPR is necessary to provide additional information including, but not limited to, a detailed site plan including appropriate mapping for all components of the undertaking, a requirement to conduct a public information session, an assessment of potential impacts to Colinet River and Rocky River as well as an assessment of risk to the marine environment from Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS), an Historic Resources Impact Assessment for the ATV/snowmobile trail and the Davis Point/Half Island areas and a detailed operating plan, including, but not limited to waste management, sewage management, and traffic/parking management, identification of adjacent land owners and associated potential socioeconomic effects including local tourism and potential climate change effects on the project. The public will be invited to provide comments on the EPR upon its submission. MINISTER’S DECISION EXTENDED:

Proponent: Eagleridge International Ltd.

The Minister of Environment and Conservation and the proponent, Eagleridge International Ltd., have agreed to extend the review period for the Environmental Preview Report (EPR) associated with this proposal. A decision on the acceptability of the EPR is due by July 7, 2014.
