Multi-Materials Stewardship Board Accepting Funding Proposals from Local Innovators
In support of achieving modern waste management in Newfoundland and Labrador, the Multi-Materials Stewardship Board (MMSB) is making $100,000 in funding available to eligible applicants through the Solid Waste Management Innovation Fund.

The Solid Waste Management Innovation Fund provides a non-repayable maximum contribution of $15,000 to provincially-owned and or operated businesses, industry associations and non-profit organizations for initiatives that support solid waste management in Newfoundland and Labrador at any stage of the waste management hierarchy (reduce, reuse, recycle or recover). The deadline for applications is May 12, 2014.
Since 2008, MMSB has invested more than $175,000 in 18 projects through the Solid Waste Management Innovation Fund. For more information or to apply, visit www.mmsb.nl.ca.

MMSB supports modern waste management practices in the province, with a particular focus on waste diversion, recycling and public education, in order to ensure a clean and healthy environment throughout Newfoundland and Labrador.
