Today is By-Election Day
Ordinary polling for the Humber East and Trinity-Bay de Verde by-elections is taking place today (Tuesday, November 25). The polls are open from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.
To find out where to vote, qualified electors should:
- Call the Humber East district Returning Office at 709-639-8756;
- Call the Trinity-Bay de Verde district Returning Office at 709-584-3057;
- Refer to their Voter Information Cards, circulated in the mail by Elections Newfoundland and Labrador;
- Check the Elections Newfoundland and Labrador website (where electors can search for their voting locations using their street names) - www.elections.gov.nl.ca; or
- Call Elections Newfoundland and Labrador toll-free at 1-877-729-7987.
There are 31 regular polls in the Humber East district. The results of the advance polls and the Special Ballot vote will be included in the preliminary election results released when the polls close at 8:00 p.m. All combined, Elections Newfoundland and Labrador will be reporting a total of 35 polls (31 regular polls, 3 advance polls and 1 Special Ballot poll) in the Humber East by-election.
There are 36 regular polls in the Trinity-Bay de Verde district. The results of the advance polls and the Special Ballot vote will be included in the preliminary election results released when the polls close at 8:00 p.m. All combined, Elections Newfoundland and Labrador will be reporting a total of 41 polls (36 regular polls, 4 advance polls and 1 Special Ballot poll) in the Trinity-Bay de Verde by-election.
