Tomorrow is Polling Day in Humber East and Trinity-Bay de Verde
Elections Newfoundland and Labrador would like to notify qualified electors in the districts of Humber East and Trinity-Bay de Verde that the by-elections will take place tomorrow, Tuesday, November 25. The polls will be open from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.
To find out where to vote, electors should:
- Check the Elections Newfoundland and Labrador website (where electors can search for their voting locations using their street names) - www.elections.gov.nl.ca;
- Refer to their Voter Information Cards, circulated to registered electors in the mail by Elections Newfoundland and Labrador;
- Call the Humber East district Returning Office at 709-639-8756;
- Call the Trinity-Bay de Verde district Returning Office at 709-584-3057; or
- Call Elections Newfoundland and Labrador toll-free at 1-877-729-7987.
Elections Newfoundland and Labrador will release the preliminary results of the by-elections as they are received from the districts, beginning at 8:00 p.m. when the polls close. Those preliminary results will be posted live on the Elections Newfoundland and Labrador website. When all the results have been received, Elections Newfoundland and Labrador will issue a news release with the total preliminary results.
The Official Addition of the Vote will take place at the district Returning Offices, beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, November 28, 2014. After the Official Addition has concluded, the by-election results will be considered official.
