Media Advisory: Minister to Launch Play and Learn Week

The Honourable Susan Sullivan, Minister of Education and Early Childhood Development, will join students, staff and family members at Hazelwood Elementary, 391 Topsail Road, St. John’s, on Monday, November 3, to launch the third annual Play and Learn Week in Newfoundland and Labrador. The event begins at 10:00 a.m. The minster will be joined by John Dinn, MHA for Kilbride.

Minister Sullivan will also introduce the next phase of the Power of Play promotional campaign.

Play and Learn Week (November 3-7) is designed to highlight how teachers incorporate play and learning in primary classrooms, while also emphasizing how they can partner with parents and caregivers to support children’s learning and development through fun, creative activities at home and at school.
