Media Advisory: Minister to Attend Announcement of ArtsSmarts Sponsorship

The Honourable Susan Sullivan, Minister of Education and Early Childhood Development, will speak at an event, organized by the Newfoundland and Labrador Arts Council (NLAC), announcing a new sponsorship in support of the ArtsSmarts grant program. The event will take place tomorrow (Wednesday, October 22) at Beachy Cove Elementary, 412 Beachy Cove Road, Portugal Cove-St. Philip’s, beginning at 10:30 a.m.

Minister Sullivan will be joined by the Honourable Darin King, Minister of Business, Tourism, Culture and Rural Development.

The NLAC fosters and promotes the creation and enjoyment of the arts for the benefit of all Newfoundlanders and Labradorians. It is responsible for administering the ArtsSmarts program, offered through the Provincial Government’s Cultural Connections initiative, in schools throughout the province.
