The Honourable Clyde Jackman, Minister of Education, will participate in the national launch of the We Create Change Tour, an initiative sponsored and organized by the international charity and education partner, Free The Children. The event takes place tomorrow (Friday, April 11) at the Holy Heart Theatre in St. John’s, beginning at 11:30 a.m.

Minister Jackman will join Free The Children co-founder, Marc Kielburger; motivational speaker and author Spencer West; 11-year-old environmental activist Hannah Alper; the Canadian band Neverest; and, about 800 students from throughout Newfoundland and Labrador.

The We Create Change Tour is embarking from St. John’s on a 10-week, 90-stop cross-country journey to visit Canadian school communities and talk to youth about how to be a part of positive, global change, with a particular focus on an initiative to build schools and improve access to education in developing countries around the world.
