Media Advisory: Minister to Unveil New Cultural Connections Website
The Honourable Clyde Jackman, Minister of Education, will officially unveil a new Cultural Connections website at École Sainte-Anne, La Grand’Terre (Mainland), tomorrow (Tuesday, February 18) at 10:30 a.m. Minister Jackman will be joined by Tony Cornect, MHA for Port au Port.
Launched in 2005, the Cultural Connections strategy is designed to enhance arts programs and cultural content in the school curriculum and foster links between the arts and school communities. Since that time, $17.4 million has been invested in musical equipment, art supplies, books, music and drama festivals, heritage fairs, student travel grants, professional development for teachers and other programs and activities of benefit to students, teachers and artists.
