Media Advisory: Minister to Attend Immigration Meetings

The Honourable Kevin O’Brien, Minister of Advanced Education and Skills, will join fellow Federal-Provincial-Territorial Ministers of Immigration at meetings March 18 at the John G. Diefenbaker Building on Sussex Drive in Ottawa.

During the meetings, the Expression of Interest (EOI) model for economic immigration, a design intended to be more responsive to labour market demand, will be among items to be discussed. Ministers will also consider employer and provincial and territorial roles in the EOI, scheduled for launch in 2015.
