Men’s Canada Games Basketball Team in Florida

The Men’s Canada Games Basketball Team will be travelling to Orlando, Florida, this weekend to compete in the AAU Men’s Spring Classic Tournament. The tournament is held at the prestigious Orlando Sports Complex in Florida. The team will face the Florida Phantoms and the Florida Celtics in their first two games before advancing to the ranking section of the event. Coaches Erica Kennedy and Ian Coultas are using the event in preparation for the 2013 Canada Games scheduled for Sherbrook, Quebec, this August.

Team members include: Brett Warren, Steven Ryan, Christian Greenland, Cole Long, Nicholas Frew, Lucas Downey, Liam Dunphy, Brett Bouzane, David Grainger, Sean Hickey, Colin Connors and Andrew Murray. Devon O’Grady is the team manager.

Play will commence on Friday and will conclude Sunday with the playoffs. The team will return to the province on Tuesday.
