Public Advisory: Cabin Owners in Labrador West Cautioned to Stay Away from Area

The Department of Natural Resources is advising cabin owners to stay away from affected areas during the ongoing fire suppression operations in western Labrador. The areas include Demille Lake, South East and South West Arm, Grand Hermine, Moose Head Lake, Bear Lake, Blueberry Hill and Cowboy Creek.

Forestry officials are asking cabin owners to stay away from the area in the interest of health and safety. Resources assigned to the fire currently include the Incident Management Team, three airtankers, six helicopters, and 35 personnel.
