Media Advisory: Minister to Attend Police and Peace Officers’ Memorial Day Ceremony

The Honourable Darin King, Minister of Justice, will participate in the Newfoundland and Labrador Police and Peace Officers’ Memorial Day Ceremony and Parade being held on Sunday, September 29, at 2:00 p.m. The event is being held at the site of the Police and Peace Officers’ Memorial outside East Block, Confederation Building, St. John’s.

The last Sunday in September each year has been proclaimed as Newfoundland and Labrador Police and Peace Officers’ Memorial Day. This special day provides residents with an opportunity to formally express appreciation for those officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice while in the line of duty.
