Minister Expresses Condolences on Passing of Former Provincial Court Judge

The Honourable Darin King, Minister of Justice, expressed his condolences to the family and friends of retired Judge Gordon Seabright, who passed away yesterday (Tuesday, May 14).

“Judge Seabright had a long and distinguished career in Newfoundland and Labrador,” said Minister King. “Throughout his 35 years on the bench, he had a significant impact on the lives of many residents of the province. He will be missed by all of those in the legal community who came in contact with him.”

In addition to his lengthy legal career, Judge Seabright was also a very active volunteer in his community and generously donated his time to charities such as the Mazol Shriners and the Children’s Wish Foundation.

“On behalf of the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador, I offer my deepest sympathies to Judge Seabright’s family and friends,” added Minister King.
