$20,000 Investment in Fabrication Company a Catalyst for Growth

To support continued growth in the local industrial sector, the Provincial Government will invest $20,000 in Harty’s Industries Ltd., a custom fabrication and repair business, to purchase new manufacturing equipment.

“With this investment, Harty’s Industries will be able to replace outdated machinery, enabling them to become more competitive and explore additional opportunities in the province’s industrial sector,” said the Honourable Keith Hutchings, Minister of Innovation, Business and Rural Development. “This new equipment will increase efficiency up to 30 per cent while also improving safety, which is paramount in today’s fast-paced and diverse business environment.”

Harty’s Industries Ltd. is a welding, fabrication and repair shop located in the Goulds. Harty’s has been in operation for nine years and offers custom manufacturing of stainless steel and aluminum equipment and produces various products for the seafood, health care and offshore oil industries.

“The addition of this new equipment, called a Piranha P50, is a game-changer for our business because it can complete tasks that were once done by multiple machines,” said Dave Harty, owner/operator of Harty’s Industries Ltd. “This equipment will dramatically improve operational efficiency and has the latest in safety technology which is critical in our industry.”
