Media Advisory: Premier to Sign Municipal Habitat Stewardship Agreement
The Honourable Kathy Dunderdale, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, will participate in the signing of a Municipal Habitat Stewardship Agreement with the Town of Bonavista Tuesday, July 16.
The event will take place at 3:00 p.m. at the Old Days Pond Boardwalk on Old Days Road in Bonavista. In case of inclement weather, the signing ceremony will occur in the Bonavista Fire Hall on Forbes Street.
The Premier will be joined by the Honourable Tom Hedderson, Minister of Environment and Conservation, Glen Little, MHA for Bonavista South, and Betty Fitzgerald, Mayor of Bonavista.
The Municipal Stewardship Program, administered by the Wildlife Division of the Department of Environment and Conservation, is an initiative of the Newfoundland and Labrador portion of the Eastern Habitat Joint Venture.
