Media Advisory: Minister to Sign Violence Prevention Month Proclamation

The Honourable Charlene Johnson, Minister Responsible for the Status of Women and lead Minister for the Violence Prevention Initiative, will sign a proclamation today (Friday, February 8), declaring February as Violence Prevention Month.

The proclamation signing will take place at 7:00 p.m. at the Masonic Lodge in Heart’s Content during a celebration awards dinner for “This Little Light” poster contest, which aims to prevent violence in schools. Minister Johnson will be joined by Calvin Peach, MHA for Bellevue, students, parents, teachers and community representatives.
