Media Advisory: Minister to Launch Play and Learn Week

The Honourable Clyde Jackman, Minister of Education, will join students, staff and family members at the Bishop Abraham Elementary Family Resource Centre, operated by Daybreak Parent Child Centre, 196 Pennywell Road, St. John’s, on Monday, November 4, to launch the second annual Play and Learn Week in Newfoundland and Labrador.

The event, which will include the launch of new television advertisements in support of the Power of Play promotional campaign, begins at 10:00 a.m.

Play and Learn Week (November 4-8) is designed to highlight how teachers incorporate play and learning in primary classrooms, while also emphasizing how they can partner with parents and caregivers to support children’s learning and development through fun, creative activities at home and at school.
