Media Advisory: Minister to Introduce New Specialized Foster Care

The Honourable Charlene Johnson, Minister of Child, Youth and Family Services, will be joined by representatives from the Newfoundland and Labrador Foster Families Association to make an announcement regarding the department’s level three specialized foster care training program. This new level of foster home is part of the Provincial Government’s Continuum of Care Strategy, which received a total investment of $14.3 million in Budget 2013: A Sound Plan, A Secure Future.

The event will take place today (Friday, April 12) at 1:30 p.m. at the Child, Youth and Family Services Provincial Office, 95 Elizabeth Avenue, St. John’s.
