Media Advisory: Parliamentary Secretary
to Address New Canadians at Citizenship Ceremony

Dan Crummell, Parliamentary Secretary to the Honourable Joan Shea, Minister of Advanced Education and Skills, will address new Canadian citizens at a citizenship ceremony tomorrow (Thursday, May 16) at 10:45 a.m. The ceremony will take place at the English as a Second Language Adult Training Centre, 10 Smithville Crescent, St. John’s.

Also attending are Tony Cornect, Parliamentary Assistant to the Premier, MHA for Port au Port; Vaughn Granter, MHA for Humber West; Glen Little, MHA for Bonavista South; and Paul Lane, MHA for Mount Pearl South.

Eighteen new Canadians will take their Oath of Citizenship at the ceremony, which represents the final step in becoming a Canadian citizen.
