Public Advisory: TCH near Clarenville to be Re-opened to Traffic Saturday

The Department of Transportation and Works advises that the section of the Trans Canada Highway east of Clarenville between the intersection of North West Brook and Route 204 will be reopened to traffic tomorrow afternoon (Saturday, November 24).

Blasting took place throughout this week to ensure the structural integrity of the rock face by the road side. Geotechnical staff have assessed the structural integrity of the rock face and have determined it is safe for the public.

The speed limit in the area will be reduced to 70 kilometres per hour until permanent repairs have been made to the asphalt.
