Public Advisory: Traffic to be Diverted on TCH Near Clarenville

The Department of Transportation and Works advises that traffic on the Trans Canada Highway will continue to be diverted east of Clarenville between the intersection of North West Brook and Route 204.

This diversion will be necessary while road crews clear debris and assess the rock face at the roadside. Geotechnical staff with the Department of Transportation and Works have assessed the structural integrity of the rock face and have determined blasting will be required to ensure the stability of the rock wall and the safety of the general public.

The Department of Transportation and Works will provide an update regarding when this section of TCH can be reopened.
