Media Advisory: Minister to Open New Searston Gut Bridge

The Honourable Paul Davis, Minister of Transportation and Works, will officially open the new Searston Gut Bridge on Newfoundland’s west coast tomorrow (Thursday, November 1.)

Minister Davis will be joined by the Honourable Joan Burke, Minister of Advanced Education and Skills and MHA for St. George’s - Stephenville East, at a ceremony at the Transportation and Works highway depot in Doyles, on Route 406.

The depot is located approximately 300 metres along Route 406 from the Trans Canada Highway intersection where the Mountainside General Store is located. The event will take place at 10:30 a.m. A ribbon cutting at the bridge will follow, weather permitting.
