Public Advisory: Bell Island Ferry Service Update

The MV Beaumont Hamel has been taken out of service today (Friday, August 10) to undergo inspection and repair work related to oil pressure in the thruster of the vessel.

As a result, the ferry service for Bell Island will become a single-vessel service provided by the MV Flanders until inspection and any necessary repairs to the MV Beaumont Hamel are complete.

The MV Flanders will operate on a load-and-go basis this afternoon. To comply with regulated hours of rest, the final crossing today will be at approximately 9:25 p.m. from Portugal Cove.
