Public Advisory: Ferry Service Between Corner Brook
and Blanc Sablon Resumes Temporarily

The Department of Transportation and Works advises the public that the winter ferry service between Corner Brook and Blanc Sablon will resume on a temporary basis. The service will be provided by the MV Sir Robert Bond, and will commence Saturday, March 10, with a 7:00 a.m. crossing that will depart from Corner Brook. The service will continue on Sunday, March 11, with a 7:00 a.m. crossing that will depart from Blanc Sablon. The vessel will then follow its previous schedule of 7:00 a.m. departures from Corner Brook on Mondays and Fridays, and 7:00 a.m. departures from Blanc Sablon on Wednesdays and Saturdays until the service is concluded.

This ferry service is being restored on a temporary basis in response to ice conditions that are preventing the MV Apollo from maintaining its usual schedule of crossings between St. Barbe and Blanc Sablon and could be discontinued on short notice as ice conditions improve. The public is reminded that ice conditions are heavy at present, and that travellers should anticipate delays or cancellations due to current conditions.

For reservations or information on crossing times contact CAI Nunatsiavut Marine Inc. at 1-877-896-7075 within Canada or 1-506-858-9963 internationally, or by visiting www.labradorferry.ca.
