The following is being distributed at the request of Sport Newfoundland and Labrador:

2013 Canada Games Girls Basketball Final Tryouts

Head coach for the 2013 Canada Games Girls Basketball Program, Doug Partridge, will hold the final tryout sessions at the Newfoundland and Labrador Sports Centre, 100 Crosbie Road, St. John’s.

These sessions are open for athletes born in 1996 or 1997 in order to identify athletes for the 2013 Canada Games Program. The open tryout sessions will run 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on December 27; and 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. on December 28.

Selected athletes will train for the 2013 Canada Games taking place in Sherbooke, Quebec from August 11 to 17, 2013.

The head coach reserves the right to make cuts at anytime during the training sessions. Athletes will register on site, so please bring MCP numbers along with a basketball and reversible jersey to the first tryout session.
