Fall is in the Air at Provincial Arts and Culture Centres
The Provincial Arts and Culture Centres are presently offering a variety of performances to draw audiences in during the autumn season.
“There is an impressive line-up for this year’s fall program at Provincial Arts and Culture Centres,” said the Honourable Derrick Dalley, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Recreation. “The centres have attracted a host of local, national, and international talent that is providing entertainment for residents of all ages.”
Performances from prominent Canadian acts include Joel Plaskett Emergency and the Atlantic Ballet Theatre’s Ghosts of Violence.
Aiden Flynn, Manager of Programming and Partnerships for the Arts and Culture Centres, said the centres have historically provided Newfoundlanders and Labradorians with access to important artistic experiences in all forms and disciplines. This fall season is no exception.
“We are closing out 2012 with a lot of exciting programming,” said Mr. Flynn. “In addition to touring acts like Joel Plaskett and the Atlantic Ballet, each regional centre has a variety of great performances and partnerships with groups and artists such as the Off Broadway Players in Corner Brook presenting the Wizard of OZ, and the Quidi Vidi Rennie’s River Development Foundation in St. John’s presenting Footloose.”
