Media Advisory: Minister to Participate in
St. John’s Women’s Film Festival Event

The Honourable Derrick Dalley, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Recreation, will speak at a news conference organized by the St. John’s International Women’s Film Festival. The event is being held at the Christina Parker Gallery in St. John’s tomorrow (Thursday September 20) beginning at 10:00 a.m. Organizers of the festival will announce this year’s line-up of films.

The St. John’s International Women’s Film Festival was established in 1989 to support and promote women filmmakers. The 23rd annual festival runs October 16 to 20. The Provincial Government is providing $60,000 towards this year’s festival.
