Provincial Basketball Teams at Nationals

The Provincial Midget (U15) Boys’ team is one and two at the national championships in Sherbrook, QC. The team was defeated by Alberta 70 to 54 on Monday. Brett Warren was the top NL scorer of this game with 12 points. The NL team defeated PEI on Tuesday 61 to 60; Liam Dunphy was the NL top scorer with 20 points.  On Thursday, Saskatchewan came out on top with a score of 65 vs. 55. Liam Dunphy was the top NL scorer of this game with 12 points. The NL team plays Nova Scotia today.

The Juvenile (U17) Boys’ is also one and two at the national championships in Sherbrook, QC. The team was defeated by Quebec 101 to 56 on Tuesday; Mitchell Hearn was the top scorer with 16 points. On Wednesday NL defeated the Northwest Territories 132 vs. 27; Mitchell Hearn was the top scorer with 27 points. New Brunswick defeated NL 85 to 53 on Thursday. Stephen Ryan was the top scorer of the game with 14 points. The U17 boys’ face Prince Edward Island today and the Northwest Territories again Saturday morning.
