Trails, Tales and Tunes Festival Now Open

The 6th Annual Trails, Tales and Tunes Festival is now open in Norris Point, Gros Morne National Park, and will take place until May 27.

“Now in its sixth year of operations, the Trails, Tales and Tunes Festival has become a great early season attraction for residents and visitors,” said the Honourable Derrick Dalley, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Recreation. “The festival continues to boost the local tourism industry and showcase some of our finest cultural talent with the backdrop of the scenic west coast of Newfoundland and Labrador.”

This year’s festival will include events such as live concerts, culinary delights, sports activities, walking and hiking trips, and much more.

Budget 2012: People and Prosperity – Responsible Investments for a Secure Future invests close to $18.5 million to implement tourism initiatives and programming, including $13 million for tourism marketing.
