The following is being distributed at the request of Sport Newfoundland and Labrador:

Provincial Minor Hoop Championships

Thirty-eight teams will participate at six various venues across the province in this year’s Newfoundland and Labrador Basketball Associations Grade 7 Universal Corporate Wear Provincial Championships this weekend, March 2-4. St. Paul’s of Gander will host the boys while Immaculate Heart of Mary plays host to the girl’s events on the west coast.

Here on the east coast Clarenville will host the girls B event while St. Paul’s of St. John’s hosts the A. On the boys side it will be Leary’s Brook of St. John’s with the A while Laval of Placentia will host the B. Play gets under way on Friday afternoon and will conclude with the championship games Saturday evening or Sunday morning.
