Ladies Canada Games Basketball Program Teams to Compete in Toronto

The Ladies Canada Games Basketball program will be travelling to Toronto, Ontario, Thursday, January 26, to compete in the York South Silver Knights Basketball Tournament.

The program will be travelling with 17 athletes and entering two teams into the competition. Athletes travelling to the competition include, Sara Tobin, Sydney Vander Weil, Kayla Thompson, Tiffany Morgan, Breena Power, Geana George, Kelsey Moore, Kathleen Dyer, Julie Croucher, Maria Colbert and Maria Carroll of St. John’s, Stacey Leawood, Brooklyn Short, Brittany Rose, Morgan Baker Tucker and Jennifer McDonald of Mount Pearl and Lindsey Garland of Conception Bay South. Coaches accommodating the teams include Geoff Moore, Kim Brophy and Wayne Rose. Play commences Friday afternoon with the championship game slated for Sunday afternoon.
