Media Advisory: Minister to Attend National Day of Remembrance Events

The Honourable Nick McGrath, Minister of Service NL, will participate in two events commemorating the National Day of Remembrance for Road Crash Victims tomorrow (Wednesday, November 21).

Minister McGrath will lay a wreath at a ceremony at the Foxtrap Weigh Scales beginning at 12:00 p.m. which will be attended by representatives from law enforcement and community groups.

At 6:00 p.m. Minister McGrath will address a candlelight vigil at St. John’s City Hall.

The National Day of Remembrance for Road Crash Victims is an annual event which remembers those killed or seriously injured on Canadian roads. This is the fifth year for the event, which places a focus on key areas such as increased enforcement, the building of safer vehicles and a general change in road user behaviors.
