Public Advisory: Consultation on New Forest Management Strategy
Scheduled for Happy Valley-Goose Bay

The Department of Natural Resources, Forestry and Agrifoods Agency, will host a public consultation session to support the development of a new Forest Management Strategy. The session will take place in Happy Valley-Goose Bay on Thursday, March 22, at Hotel North 2 at 7:00 p.m.

The session will provide an opportunity for industry, interested groups and organizations, and the public to discuss the sustainable management of Newfoundland and Labrador’s forest resource.

Those interested in participating must pre-register a minimum of 48 hours in advance of the scheduled meeting time by calling 709-637-2283 or e-mailing wkelly@gov.nl.ca

Presenters must provide a copy of their presentation which will be posted on the department’s website. Written submissions can be made via mail to: Wayne Kelly, Director, Centre for Forest Science and Innovation, Department of Natural Resources, P.O. Box 2006, Corner Brook, NL A2H 6J8.
