Media Advisory: Minister to Make Funding Announcements for
West Coast Communities

The Honourable Kevin O’Brien, Minister of Municipal Affairs and Minister Responsible for Fire and Emergency Services – Newfoundland and Labrador (FES-NL), will make a number of funding announcements for the Stephenville, Port au Port and Bay St. George South areas tomorrow (Friday, November 9).

At 8:30 a.m., Minister O’Brien will be joined by the Honourable Joan Burke, Minster of Advanced Education and Skills and MHA for St. George’s - Stephenville East; Tony Cornect, MHA for Port au Port; and community leaders at the Stephenville Town Hall, 125 Carolina Avenue.

At 9:45 a.m., Minister O’Brien and Mr. Cornect will join area community leaders at the Town Hall, Port au Port.

At 11:30 a.m., Minister O’Brien and Minister Burke will be at the Area Development Office in McKay’s, Bay St. George South.

Minister O’Brien will outline Provincial Government investments to support municipal infrastructure and fire fighting equipment.
