Media Advisory: Minister to Announce Winners of
Export and Innovation Awards

The Honourable Keith Hutchings, Minister of Innovation, Business and Rural Development, will announce winners of the Provincial Government’s 2012 Export and Innovation Awards tonight (Monday, June 18) at the Delta St. John’s Hotel and Conference Centre. The event begins at 5:00 p.m., in the hotel’s Harbour View Room, with the minister scheduled to speak at approximately 5:30 p.m.

Since 1983, the Export and Innovation Awards recognize individuals, businesses, organizations, and institutions that have excelled in the areas of innovation and exporting. The awards include Exporter of the Year, Innovation in Business, and Distinction in Innovation, as well as an Award of Merit.

Previous winners include the SmartBay project, North Atlantic Refineries, Hi-Point Industries, and Camouflage Software.
