Media Advisory: Minister to Speak at
Arctic Oil and Gas North America Conference

The Honourable Keith Hutchings, Minister of Innovation, Business and Rural Development, will speak at the opening ceremonies of the Arctic Oil and Gas North America conference tomorrow (Wednesday, May 23). The minister is scheduled to speak at 9:00 a.m. at the Sheraton Hotel Newfoundland.

The Arctic Oil and Gas Conference takes place May 23-24. This year’s conference will discuss a variety of issues related to developing technologies and strategies to promote safe and efficient operations in the Arctic. Sessions will focus on market updates, challenges to exploration and production, social and environmental impacts, regulations, technology, transportation and logistics, and emergency response.
