Media Advisory: Minister to Attend Meeting of Finance Ministers

The Honourable Tom Marshall, Minister of Finance and President of Treasury Board, will attend a meeting of Federal, Provincial and Territorial Finance Ministers at Meech Lake, Quebec, on Monday, December 17.

Mark Carney, Governor of the Bank of Canada, will open the meeting by discussing recent developments in the global economy as well as Canadian monetary policy. The Finance ministers are then expected to discuss medium-term fiscal priorities, equalization and the country’s retirement income system.
