Budget 2012 to be Delivered April 24

The Honourable Tom Marshall, Minister of Finance and President of Treasury Board, announced today that the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador will deliver Budget 2012 on Tuesday, April 24.

“This will be the ninth budget delivered by this government,” said Minister Marshall. “Our focus has been one of sound fiscal management combined with the ability to make strategic investments in areas that are important to Newfoundlanders and Labradorians. I am always struck by how passionate residents are when it comes to the well-being of their communities and the province overall. I offer my thanks to all of those who directly and indirectly participated in this year’s budget consultations.”

Details of the media lock-in for Budget 2012 will be announced prior to budget day.
