Media Advisory: Minister to Speak at the Association of Fundraising Professionals Annual Awards

The Honourable Keith Hutchings, Minister of Innovation, Business and Rural Development and Minister Responsible for the Office of Public Engagement, will speak at the Newfoundland and Labrador Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals annual awards luncheon tomorrow (Thursday, November 15). The event begins at 1:00 p.m. at the Capital Hotel in St. John’s.

The awards coincide with National Philanthropy Day, which celebrates individuals and organizations for their generous donations to charities and for outstanding fundraising activities.

The Association of Fundraising Professionals is the professional association of individuals responsible for generating philanthropic support for a wide variety of charitable organizations. The association represents more than 30,000 members in 200 chapters throughout the world, working to advance philanthropy through advocacy, research, education and certification programs.
