Media Advisory: Premier and Minister to Launch Journeyperson Mentorship Program

The Honourable Kathy Dunderdale, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, and the Honourable Joan Burke, Minister of Advanced Education and Skills, will join industry leaders today (Wednesday, November 14) for the launch of the Journeyperson Mentorship Program.

The event will take place at 1:00 p.m. in the Office to Advance Women Apprentices, 89 McNamara Drive, Paradise.

The Journeyperson Mentorship Program is the latest initiative by the Provincial Government to meet the growing demand for skilled labour. With dedicated on-the-job training, the program will provide a journeyperson mentor to eligible employers to support them in the hiring of additional apprentices as they develop towards journeyperson status.
