Media Advisory: Minister to Recognize Merchant Navy Veterans Day

The Honourable Nick McGrath, Minister for Intergovernmental and Aboriginal Affairs and Minister Responsible for the Volunteer and Non-Profit Sector, will speak at a memorial service recognizing Merchant Navy Veterans Day tomorrow (Wednesday, August 29) at 10:00 a.m. outside the Marine Institute, Ridge Road, St. John’s.

The ceremony will also mark the 15th anniversary of the unveiling and dedication of Newfoundland and Labrador’s Merchant Navy Memorial.
